Thanks to all of the Woodland Community College students who contributed to the Fall 2016 issue of Ink, A Literary Arts Magazine! 

For the Spring 2017 semester, all Woodland Community College/Colusa County Campus/Lake County Campus students are invited to submit the following types of work:


  • Memoirs, musings, reports, or observations
  • Personal narratives/autobiographical works
  • Flash fiction/short fiction/chapters of longer works
  • Poetry/songs
  • Original artwork (send a photo or scan of your work)
  • Original photography


All entries will be considered. Top works in each category will be published in the Spring 2017 Issue of Ink, A Literary Arts Magazine


  • Students must be enrolled in at least one WCC/CCC/LCC class in Spring 2017 to participate.
  • Written work must be formatted in MLA style (exceptions made for poems of specified/free verse form) and no longer than 1,500 words.
  • Include a brief bio of yourself with your submission.
  • Work must be submitted electronically via email to, and it must not have been previously published.
  • Each work must be in a separate Word file with the author's name on it.
  • All work must be titled, including photography and art. 
  • When you submit, WCC acquires First Rights, or one-time rights. Copyright reverts back to author/artist after publication.
  • There is no limit to the number of entries students can submit.
  • Special consideration will be given to works that feature diversity.
  • Entries will be accepted any time up to the final due date: March 24th, 2017.
